PostOp Therapeutics was founded with a clear mission to provide essential sleep solutions for cancer patients and individuals undergoing head, throat, or lung treatments. Our founder, Jeff Hernandez, is a throat cancer survivor who personally understands the immense challenge of achieving restful sleep during and after treatment. His own journey through surgeries, radiation, and sleepless nights drove him to create a device that would offer relief to others facing similar struggles. Our device not only supports restorative sleep but, under a doctor’s guidance, can also deliver medication to soothe the throat, providing an added layer of comfort during recovery.

Message from Jeff

As a business analyst in the technology sector, I’ve spent my career uncovering how technology can transform industries and create new opportunities. The staggering statistic of approximately 494,000 patients who undergo difficult recoveries inspired me to develop the Oral-Phlegm-Extraction-System (OPES). I knew that if I could combine technology with my personal experience, I could offer a life-changing solution to those in need of sleep relief during their recovery.

Jeffrey’s journey to creating PostOp Therapeutics is deeply personal. A proud graduate of Florida State University, he spent a lifetime as a Senior Business Analyst and Senior Director in the technology sector. Over the years, he helped Fortune 500 companies like IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and Digital Equipment Corporation open new markets and create multi-million-dollar opportunities. But it wasn’t until he faced his own battles with throat cancer and sleepless nights during recovery that the idea for PostOp Therapeutics took shape. With 45 years of marriage and the joy of four grandchildren, Jeffrey’s vision for improving the recovery process for others is both a passion and a calling.

Paul’s professional career spans more than two decades with Cummins Inc. and 13 years as a private business owner. A graduate of Lawrence Technological University, Paul’s engineering expertise and entrepreneurial spirit are at the heart of our innovative solutions. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he has witnessed the hardships that come with cancer recovery firsthand. With 45 years of marriage and four grandchildren, Paul’s commitment to helping those in need is driven by his deeply personal experiences. He believes that every step forward in the recovery process matters—and PostOp Therapeutics is a step in the right direction.
